A set of pre-training assessment questions will be prepared and given on the day of the COT session to the participant based on their roles and responsibilities.

Is District 102 paying for the venue usage?

No, the most expensive venues are the ones which are free. 

Remember you are representing Toastmasters International.  Keep the venue clean.    Dispose any rubbish in trash cans.  Stay at your designated floors and areas in the premises.

You are carrying District 102 reputation.  Only If we follow the venue sponsor’s guidelines, can we use this venue for future events.

Anybody can attend COT.  Priority is given to Club Officers from District 102 since venue can accommodate 350 participants only for central COT.

There are 2 sessions for COT1

Session 1: Mandatory Training (Physical) for 2.5 hours comprises of two sub sessions:

Division Director’s sharing of their goals for the division (1hour)

Role and Responsibilities of Exco by TLI trainers (1.5 hours)
1. President
2. VPE/secretary
3. VPM/Treasurer
4. VPPR/SAA

Remember to register with your ADs before and after your COT1.  Yes, there will be 2 registrations.  For faster registration, remember your Member ID.

Session 2: Elective Training (Online) for 2 hours
Topics of the electives are:
1. A Toastmasters Wears Many Hats
2. Create a Healthy Corporate Club Culture
3. Club Success Plan
4. Quality Club

A separate zoom registration is found at the end of the Google Form registration.

NB: There are two registrations, one for Mandatory and the other for the Elective module.

1. Attend 1 mandatory session of your respective division (as DvDs will be sharing their plans/expectations).
2. After the DvDs session, is the Roles & Responsibilities session, based on Exco Roles.
3. Hence, those with multiple Exco roles, after attending your DvDs session, can attend another session which is conducting the R & R for your exco role.
4. As for electives, only need to attend one session.

You will need to attend one Mandatory Training session and 2 hours of the Elective Training in order to meet the attendance requirement.

If you hold different officer roles in the same club or in different clubs, then you need to ensure that you attend the respective officer roles training.

Please contact our PQD, Woo Hui Qin. She will help to coordinate with you to find the COT1 organizing chair of the Districts you are currently staying at.

Attend the COT1 of that district. Once completed, the PQD of that district will pass your attendance to Woo Hui Qin to mark your attendance complete.

When all 7 officers attend COT 1, the club will qualify for the Super Seven campaign.

YES ! You still need to attend the training as part of the DCP pre-requisite. You might get different ideas & different perceptions during the training session. Also, you can give your valuable inputs during the training session to other new excos.

This is also a valuable networking event to finish one of your level 3 Pathway Project (Make Connections Through Networking).  Use this event to have each exco book a 2 General Evaluators for your club meetings.

To get credit for the club’s DCP (Distinguished Club Program), only 4 officers need to be trained. We encourage all 7 officers to attend and together can uplift the quality of the club.

Your Area Director will be in touch with you; and you can also refer to the D102 website.

It will be conducted online.
An email will be sent to you to complete the pre-assessment. 

You are required to complete the Pre-assessment 3 days before the Session 1 Mandatory Training that you have registered.

A set of post-training assessment questions will be presented to the participant to evaluate the depth of the learning outcome from the training.

This needs to be completed immediately after the training.

You need to fill up the registration form and ensure that on the date of training to confirm your attendance using your Toastmasters International membership number.

Division Directors to present their expectations/goals during the COT 1 mandatory session.

Both Division/Area Directors to ensure their Club Excos sign up for the training. You are also to confirm their attendance is complete before the Excos leave the training premises.

Yes, you may.  But attending additional elective training (s) does not contribute any additional credit to you or your Club’s DCP. 

However, we encourage to attend as many as possible as the topics are all relevant for the growth of yourself  which in turn will be translated as growth of the club.

You will work together with your Exco to create a club success plan, and run quality meetings.

When club officers are well-trained, club members are better served. This makes the member experience more positive, which leads to a quality club experience and increased member retention.

Yes, training materials will be provided after all COT1 Mandatory Training has been concluded. 

Not encouraged, as the respective Division Directors will be sharing their division’s expectations and goals.
